Aquariums4Life will make delivery of Aquariums & Steel-Framed Cabinets personally utilising their own delivery vehicle and personnel unless you have been otherwise advised or external influences have resulted in circumstances where our own delivery is not possible. Assisted delivery is subject to your access.
Aquariums4Life charge £195 delivery on Full Build Deliveries Standard size's (Monday-Friday 7am - 7pm unless alternatively advised). (Excluding oversized / non standard build / Titan Builds). Saturday Deliveries may incur and additional charge.
The charge of £195 will result in a one-person assisted delivery by Aquariums4Life member of staff who will help you in locating the aquarium with full use of hydraulic table(s) and specialist lifting equipment (where required), the extent of help you will require in addition to our team member will vary dependent upon your build size and access restrictions. (This rate applies to the Mainland UK excluding Highlands, Islands and some regions of the South West of England where other rates may be applicable or where additional Aquariums4Life personnel are required). Deliveries are made Monday - Friday (7am - 7pm unless alternatively advised). Saturday Deliveries may incur and additional charge.
Steel Framed Cabinets will be levelled prior to the introduction of the aquarium and/or filtration. (Please be advised that Aquariums4Life can not be held responsible for the suitability of flooring or the measurement of access and spaces). Flooring should be checked prior to delivery by a structural engineer for its suitability. Once in position you will need to monitor your flooring in case of subsidence / floor movement. Monitoring whether your build remains level should be included as part of your regular maintenance.
Aquariums4Life are on-site to advise and assist with the locating of your build. Aquariums4Life will make trolleys available to you in order to transfer your purchase from the delivery vehicle to its final positioning. Use of trolleys is entirely at your own risk. Aquariums4Life are not responsible for your purchase once it leaves the delivery vehicle on all delivery types.
Delivery Rates for 'Aquarium Only', 'Cabinet Only' and 'Equipment' will vary in accordance with delivery address and size of delivery, please contact us for prices. These deliveries may be made using a third party.
Any third party deliveries will be made to the door/kerb-side. Please note that any access issues should still be advised of at point of ordering. Third party deliveries may be made by Lorry.
Kerb-side/Drop-off deliveries made by Aquariums4Life will be made to coincide with other deliveries to your region. This could result in a delay to your build lead time. It is possible to upgrade your delivery in instances where delivery is required with greater urgency.
For all deliveries made by Aquariums4Life the option of kerb-side or assisted delivery will be made available to you at point of order. Deliveries are made Monday - Friday (7am - 7pm unless alternatively advised). Saturday Deliveries may incur and additional charge.
All Pallet/Third Party deliveries and Kerb-side deliveries must be checked and signed for upon receipt. Damage noticed after items have been signed for will not be covered by any guarantee or warranty or available for replacement.
Deliveries outside of the UK will be made by pallet delivery. All builds will be crated prior to delivery unless prior arrangements have been made. Please note that any access issues should still be advised of at point of ordering. Third party deliveries may be made by Lorry.
Clients are welcome to organise their own collection/deliveries at no additional cost, unless where crating and packaging is required by arrangement.
The delivery personnel manage a 'safe-lifting' policy which restricts them from lifting anything over 25kg per person. If your build is heavier than this then you will be made aware prior to delivery and arrangements should be made by you to remove and locate your build. The responsibility of the build will become yours on leaving the vehicle. It is therefore advisable that you are present at point of delivery or ensure that any third person taking delivery is aware of their responsibilities. The team will always provide as much assistance as they are able to in order to facilitate the delivery. Where items are in excess of 25kg additional assistance will be required in locating the delivery on drop off, kerbside and assisted deliveries.
When nearing completion of the build Aquariums4Life will be in contact with a delivery date. Every effort will be made to maintain the agreed date, should circumstances arise which impact this date or time Aquariums4Life will advise you at the earliest possible opportunity and rearrange the delivery. Compensation will not be be offered in cases where deliveries need to be cancelled but such deliveries will be marked as urgent and priority.
Please do not order livestock etc. before you are in possession of the aquarium. Aquariums4Life will not take responsibility for any livestock, newly purchased or already in your possession.
The Aquarium, Cabinet, etc. must be thoroughly inspected prior to it's removal from the delivery vehicle. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure all goods are unmarked/undamaged whilst they are inside the delivery vehicle. Aquariums4Life will not accept responsibility for any marks/damage/errors after leaving the delivery vehicle.
If you have a disability or are unable to manage the delivery then please advise at point of order so alternative arrangements can be made, such as additional man-power or equipment.
It is important that any factors which may impede the delivery of the aquarium are imparted at the point of order. For example,
It is advised that you take measurements of narrow door-frames, difficult corners, passages, prior to delivery.
If a second or third member of personnel is required to assist in the delivery of your tank then a fee will be charged at a pre-disclosed rate.
Should Aquariums4Life be unable to execute delivery completely due to any such factors as mentioned above then the build will be positioned appropriately at the delivery address.
Aquariums will be wheeled into position whilst they are sat on their base. If you have access restrictions which prevent the aquarium / cabinet from being wheeled into position you must advise the office. It will be useful to include photographs for illustration of access issues. Any aquarium / cabinet which needs to be upended will be the sole responsibility of the owner of the aquarium / cabinet / vivarium. Aquariums4Life take no responsibility for damage which may occurwhen builds can not be wheeled into position whilst sat on their base.
If an arranged delivery arrives at your location and no one is available to accept delivery then Aquariums4Life will return your aquarium to the workshop for your collection. A repeat delivery will be charged at 130 pence per mile for a return journey to the place of delivery from PR3, with a minimum charge of £195 being applicable with an additional £80 per/hour, per/person for the time on site (minimum 1 hour per person charge).
By allowing Aquariums4life to enter into your premises you are accepting liability for any damage caused to the premises during the delivery process, or from the steel toe-capped boots worn by personnel throughout the delivery.
You are responsible for ensuring the suitability of the flooring upon which your aquarium is placed.
You are responsible for ensuring that the space for your aquarium / cabinet is big enough.
Any subsidence following delivery is not the responsibility of Aquariums4Life and should be rectified immediately. Re-leveling of your aquarium may be carried by you or by Aquariums4Life*.
Aquariums4Life will provide a time for delivery on the day of delivery. Estimated times issued prior to this are as a guidance only and may change. Delivery will take place on the day of delivery between 8am and 6pm unless you are informed otherwise or alternative arrangements have been made.
The maximum allocated time on site for any delivery is 45 minutes. If this time is exceeded due to access restrictions or delay in access or waiting for manpower, or insufficient manpower then you are subject to additional charges of £80 per hour/per person.

If the delivery takes longer or is more costly due to any exceptional circumstances not disclosed at point of order. (45 minutes is allowed for an assisted delivery)(15 minutes is allowed for a Kerb-side/Drop-Off delivery)
If your build has to be redelivered because of problems with access.
If your build has to be redelivered because there was no authorised person, over 18 years of age, to sign for the delivery.
If your build has to be redelivered because there was no one in to sign at the arranged time.
If our delivery staff have to wait in excess of 45 minutes before being admitted into your house/workplace.
If your steel frame cabinet and aquarium requires re-levelling.
If your doors require re-aligning.
Once your build is ready for despatch if you are unable to take delivery after notification, we will be happy to store the build at a cost of £25 per week. When you are in a position to accept delivery, and payment has been made in full, we will reschedule delivery at our earliest possible convenience.
If you decide to cancel your build then there will be no refund of any deposit paid once this build process has commenced.
If you decide to place you build on hold. When resumed, you will be liable for any increase in costs which may have occurred. You will also be liable for storage costs (as detailed below).
Any additional visits requested or required, not due to Aquariums4Life, will be charged at an hourly rate of £80. This will be charged from leaving the workshop to point of return, allowing for any required breaks.
If you are unable to take delivery or make collection following your builds completion Aquariums4Life reserve the right to apply a weekly storage charge to your build. The rate will depend on your build size and style. You will be notified 7 days in advance of any charges
Where storage charges and build costs exceed any deposit payment made. Your order will be cancelled and the build(s) sold to recover losses.
Please note that costs for glass storage will be incurred at the same rate as 'Tank's'
HOW TO ORDER
Orders can be placed with Aquariums4Life by telephone, email, online or through Facebook. Aquariums4Life will require your full contact details when ordering.
Your order will be returned by email in invoice-form to you. Please check over your invoice to ensure that everything is as per your specification.
Information on the website is correct at time of publishing, some information should be read-as 'guidance' rather than fact and can be clarified through communications with Aquatiums4Life.
Any inaccuracies, amendments or omissions should be brought to our attention for re-invoicing.
Once you are happy that your invoice is correct and as per your specification we request that 50% of the balance is paid.** For non-standard sized builds full payment may be required to commence your build. (Non-standard Size is deemed as any size not listed on our website).
Requests to change your build specification, will only be deemed as approved and accepted by Aquariums4Life once an amended invoice and job-sheet has been re-submitted to you detailing the approved changes. Any changes will incur additional costs.
Payment will act to verify your invoice specification is correct and to commence with the build process.
By making payment you are agreeing to all Terms and Conditions.
Payments are non-refundable once your build has commenced. Cancellation of any order will be subject to a £50 cancellation fee where the build has not commenced. This is to cover administrative charges.
Aquariums4Life accept payment by most major Debit and Credit Cards and by Bank Transfer.
All quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
Quoted lead time estimates will commence from the point at which your build is signed off and your Job Sheet Documentation raised for your perusal.
Lead times are an estimate of the build time. Whilst every effort is made to keep to the estimated lead time, external factors, outside the control of Aquariums4Life, may effect this. In cases where lead times are longer than originally estimated Aquariums4Life are not bound to issue any refund where builds have been commenced or glass has been specially ordered. There will be no reduction in your final bill and all costs of the original invoice will remain the same. Do not purchase or formulate plans until your build is delivered / in place.
Failure to maintain correspondence with Aquariums4Life will result in your build progress being suspended. This will likely affect your lead time.
Failure to supply information upon request to Aquariums4Life will result in your build progress being suspended. This will likely affect your lead time.
Failure to make payment of any agreed or arranged monetary installments / balance payments / sums required will result in your build progress being suspended. This will likely affect your lead time.
Personal Banking and Payment transaction details are not stored by Aquariums4Life in lines with PCI DSS compliance. Please do not send your bank or card details to Aquartiums4Life. These will be deleted.
GUARANTEE CONDITIONS
Aquariums4Life will guarantee your steel-frame againsy collapse for three years from the date of delivery for use indoors. The panels and attachments are not covered by this guarantee. Please maintain your steel frame, panels and attachments regularly. Moisture should not be left to sit on any items. A barrier substance should be applied regularly to hinges etc. Your steel frame or steel bracing should not come into contact with water. Please dry immediately should the steel work become wet.
Aquariums4Life offer a no-leak guarantee your braced cuboid glass aquarium for three years from the date of delivery.
Aquariums4Life offer a no-leak guarantee your brace-less glass aquarium for one year from the date of delivery.
Aquariums4Life offer a no-leak guarantee your euro-braced glass aquarium for one year from the date of delivery.
Aquariums4Life offer a no-leak guarantee your non cuboid glass aquarium for one year from the date of delivery.
Aquariums assembled on-site should not be moved without first contacting Aquarums4Life.
Aquariums4Life offer a no-leak guarantee your Titan cuboid glass aquarium for ten years from the date of delivery.
Your guarantee is not valid for Glass Breakage.
Your guarantee is not valid for pipework and plumbing.
Your guarantee is not valid for failures due to misuse, wear and tear, accidental breakage, neglect, earthquakes, vermin, flooding.
Your guarantee is not valid for failure due to insubstantial flooring. If in doubt always check with your structural engineer. Flooring should be prepared and levelled prior to delivery.
Your guarantee is not valid in cases where the product has been abused or not used for purpose.
Your guarantee is not valid for damage to your product caused by the misuse of cleaning materials or from repairs conducted by any other company than the manufacturers.
Your aquarium guarantee is not valid if damage occurs as a result of using a stand other than one built by Aquariums4Life, or a stand not sanctioned by Aquariums4Life.
Your guarantee is not valid in cases where your flooring is not level, where subsidence has occurred, where maintenance has not been carried out.
Your guarantee is not valid in cases where the glass aquarium/sump has not been placed on polystyrene sheet (min 19mm Supertherm). Aquariums4Life do not supply polystyrene unless purchased. (This is in circumstances where an Aquariums4Life cabinet/stand has not been supplied)
The guarantee is non-transferable.
The guarantee is not valid for onsite builds where proof of filling has not been provided. This should be sent to the aquariums4Life office in an email in the form of a photograph with proof of date.
Any builds covered by the guarantee will be repaired or replaced. No monetary equivalent will be offered. Your home insurance policy will cover for losses and damage is there is any applicable.
Aquarium Stands and Cabinets must be solid without movement, offer substantial support to the base of your aquarium without sag and wholly level for your guarantee to be valid. Aquariums must be placed on polystyrene. Whenever possible we will advise you of your stand/cabinet's suitability. It is your responsibility to make changes to your stands/cabinets where advised.
Whilst every effort will be taken to avoid any marks on the aquarium glass, Aquariums4Life are subject to the glass manufacturer's standards and guidelines.
All glass used by Aquariums4Life is produced to GGF/British Standard Guidelines. Glass shall be viewed at near normal incidence i.e. at right angles to the glass surface from the room side standing at a distance of not less than 2m away from the inner glass surface for annealed float glass and 3m away for all other glass types (toughened and laminated). The assessment of visual quality of the panes of glass should be carried out in natural daylight but not in direct sunlight and with no visible moisture on the surface of the inner or outer glass panes. The use of strong lamps and/or magnifying devices is not allowed. It is not permissible to find defects at close range and then mark them so as to be visible from the given viewing distance. Obtrusiveness of faults shall be judged by looking through the glass, not at it.
AFT AFTER DELIVERY/ MAINTENANCEER
Once your tank and been delivered / collected / installed it is vital to ensure that the tank remains level and well supported.
Please monitor your frame, whether this has or has not been supplied by Aquariums4Life. It is important to ensure that the feet of your steel frame are all in contact with the floor and that their is no movement before and after filling the aquarium. Any changes need to be monitored. There is a possibility with some floors that the weight of the filled tank will have an effect on the flooring which was not present when the empty tank was in place.
On Eco / Double Skinned Cabinets it is imperative that your flooring is level prior to delivery. Failure due to a tank / cabinet not being level will void your guarantee.
If you have an Aquariums4Life Steel Frame, this will also need monitoring when the tank is filled. One tell tale sign may be your doors going out of alignment. Another may be your water line not looking level.
Maintenance of steel work is required. In order to maintain a flawless look please look out for any corrosion. In the unlikely event that any rusting should occur we recommend a paint such as Hamerite to cover. Always ensure good ventilation and wipe water spills around the steel work. It should be noted that surface corrosion can be eliminated and will not effect the strength of your stand.
Please monitor your silicone lines for any changes. Any changes should be photographed over a period to log any alterations.
If you choose to move your aquarium after installation always ensure that this is re-levelled. Do not move the tank whilst full.
Aquariums should not be filled for a period after assembly. You will be advised as to how long you should leave the tank before filling. On the last day, prior to filling your aquarium, you need to send a photograph of the empty aquarium with newspaper/proof of date to the Aquariums4Life office (Aquariums4Life@gmail.com). Failure to do this will void your guarantee/warranty. Alternatively, you can request a password from the office at Aquariums4Life which you can photograph inside the aquarium on the day, and prior to filling.
Aquariums4Life reserve the right to publish photographs / videos, other material and information of your build on all platforms/social media/websites. No personal information will be divulged or detailed in accordance with the data protection act.
Images, videos and other details of your build may be used for promotional and marketing purposes. No personal information will be divulged or detailed in accordance with the data protection act.
All photographs taken by Aquariums4Life Employee's remain the property of Aquariums4Life and may not be used by anyone without consent.
Any photographs/video material taken which include persons will only be done so with permission.
Allowing Aquariums4Life personnel and representatives inside your property is deemed as consent to take photographs, videos etc. No personal information will be divulged or detailed in accordance with the data protection act.
